Zero Waste week Event 1/2
Have you heard about ‘zero waste’ and want to know more? Have you started making a few changes but not sure how to progress? Or you just want to meet people who are at the same stage of the journey as you? If yes, then this event is for you!
We have teamed up with Hetu, Sustainably Vegan and the Mylkman to bring you this talk that is aimed at individuals who are new to the zero waste movement so we will be giving a broad overview of what it’s all about and help you build strong foundations so you can flourish.
This is a small and intimate event which will allow people time to have their questions answered and to mingle with others in the room.
A few of the topics we will cover:
Simple steps towards making a difference
Is ‘zero waste’ really possible?
It seems too difficult or expensive
I just don’t have the time or money to make these changes
Does it really make a difference?
As well as the talk, you will have the opportunity to purchase a few zero waste items from our co-host Hetu*. You will also be able to pre-order some amazing nut mylks from the fabulous Mylkman that will be available for you to collect on the night. They will also do a short demonstration on how to make the mylks and what we can do with its by-product
*We will cover this topic off in more detail during the event but we wanted to mention something in advance. You don’t have to buy new things, you may already have items at home that can be reused or repurposed, this just gives you an opportunity to pick up some items that you MIGHT need
Sustainably Vegan is a platform that seeks to merge Veganism with Zero waste to engage both communities in a wider environmental context. Through social media Sustainably Vegan seeks to advocate for animal rights whilst simultaneously creating awareness for the consequences of our consumerist habits. Immy's activism centres itself around the small changes we can all make in our everyday lives to ensure that we create a huge impact, and hopefully change the world one plastic bottle at a time.
At Hetu we are on a mission to change the world with one of the most powerful tools at our disposal; our buying power.
Hetu is a package-free store opening soon in London. We will offer whole foods and sustainable reusable items without unnecessary packaging. Helping people to live a more zero waste lifestyle. Benefiting your health and that of the planet.
Mylkman produce and deliver a range of outstanding artisan nut mylks to homes and businesses across London.
We cram as many great ingredients as we can into each bottle (a minimum of 12% nut content) and are a zero plastic business.
